Cant forget...

So i dont have any cute kids to give you updates on, and if i become that person that starts giving updates on my dog-all i ask is its time, please put me down.
BUT, i was thinking the other day about how bad i am at keeping a journal and there are some stories that i would hate to forget. So i decided (in a moment of brilliance) that i should keep them all here for my family and friends to enjoy as well-since i dont get to see everyone as much as i'd like nowadays with our way busy schedules.
So i thought i'd start with one that involves some of my favorite people! My Bachelorette Party! My cute sister-in-law had already figured out how much i hate being the center of attention and just wanna play, so her brilliant idea was to take me and my closest girls: My best friend of forever who flew all the way to alabama for my wedding Lindsey, my favorite sister Kari, my great friend Megan, and of course Carrie #2.- Roller Skating! We busted a move to such hits as: Tootsie Roll, Whoop there it is! and Barbie girl :)
Carrie made me wear a veil with pink flashing hearts, and had the DJ (i use that term very loosely) announce my last night of freedom. All the pre-teens skated circles around me to congratulate me.
One cute little girl had no idea what was going on but gave me a hearty "Happy birthday!"
Afterwards my gals helped me nurse my wounds (do i really have to mention just how clumsy i am? let alone strapping rolling shoes to my feet) and managed to get a little pampering in there for all of us.
So much fun, i will have to post some of my favorites of us together cause i dont want to let myself forget.

Soo funny that you did that Candice! Just a few days ago, i was talking to a girl i work with about how dumb it is to take a pic of yourself at arms length. Especially the ones taken holding the camera above you, as shown above in my emo-like state. I am at work and really hope no one caught me in the narcissistic act of self-photography.
So i guess the game is i gotta tag more people now.. lets see... I wanna see SWOOD, Megan, and Jessica! And you have to take it at the time you read the post.

I'm glad you're liking your new job so far but pay attention to this... and maybe you'll get cake! Hmm... maybe it would be more effective if it had peeps on it and the girl was actually a dude. :) Sorry sweetie couldn't help it!

Weekend fun...

Among car shopping, B.J. working, and busy saturday duties, we were able to take Drake to our new favorite park. Isn't it pretty?

Friday we went to Glen and Amber's to watch Tyce make a mess with his huge blue cake. It was way fun :)

So my family keeps asking me about my blog, and "I started one" just isn't good enough for them. So i will do my best to update it and keep you all informed on our not so glamorous life :) Starting with the last post about our new buddy.
One good update is: B.J. got a new job! Hooray! He'll be working for IHC as a Respiratoty Tech in a home care facility. Its right up his alley and it'll be great having the weekends back!
My Dad was so proud he called my aunt and grandma to tell them B.J. was an "inhalation expert" HA! Yes, he did.

We got a Dog!

His name is DRAKE and he's a year and a half. He's so much fun! He's also massive, easily over a hudred El Bees. We've been having a blast taking him everywhere with us. He's B.J.'s son :) its really cute seeing him with the dog. On our morning jogs we go right by a couple of horses. The other day on our way past them, the horses ran up to greet us. I thought it was because they saw a person and thought they would get food, but they bent right down and both said hello to Drake who was so happy he tried to get them to play chase him. It was so funny, i wish i had my camera. <3
